What is a BB Glow treatment?

Semi-permanent BB cream is exactly what it sounds like – a layer of BB cream is injected into the skin to give your client a natural looking base that lasts for a long time. With minimal procedural time required by you and instant results for clients, this semi-permanent makeup technique is the perfect addition to any beauty-based business.  Using Micro Needle Therapy System, the goal of the treatment is to either lighten or add colour to the face. The treatment is made from original Korean preparations with intense whitening power and smoothing skin effect qualities. A BB Glow treatment is a safe and intensive skin treatment that can assist in reduction of the appearance of freckles, redness etc. It is recommended for people with all skin types and tones and also for the reduction of open pores and those who suffer from oily skin.   There is no pain, no redness, no downtime and results are immediate. However, for the gorgeous dewy look to remain glowing in the skin a recommended course of 3-5 treatments are required 2 -3 weeks apart then results will last four months plus.

Patch Test

A patch test must be carried out at least 48 hours prior to the procedure. During the patch test, the therapist should colour match the client’s skin with the BB Glow pigments and test the sensitivity by scratching the inner crook of the arm by using a lancet. Use the lancet to gently scratch the skin and then apply the pigment, a plaster can then be put over the skin for 24 hours. If there is no adverse reaction the treatment can be carried out after 48 hours.

Contraindications of Microneedle and Bb Glow

Contraindications include pregnant and/or nursing, skin cancer, skin disease, active infections or open wounds, Accutane, allergies to any ingredients being used, injectable fillers within 2 weeks of receiving the treatment clients on blood thinners. Before treatment, you will be asked to discontinue any use of Retin A, Retinol, and Vitamin A for 3-5 days as these products can irritate the deeper layers of your skin.

Aftercare

•Do not wash your face for 24 hours.
* Redness or sensitivity might be present (and last up to a few days) after the treatment. •Instead keep moisturized
• Avoid strenuous exercise or sweating for 24 hours due to open pores.
* Treat skin gently washing with a gentle cleanser, cool water, using hands only and pat dry.
* May use cool compresses if excessive discomfort
* Avoid sun exposure for 3 days and if possible up to 10 days.  
•Apply a minimum of SPF 30 daily.
•May use mineral makeup after 24 hours.
•No sauna, steam room hot baths or swimming for at least a week.
•Do not use harsh exfoliators or chemicals for a week.
•At least 3 treatments are required every 4 weeks apart for longer-lasting results.
